My name is Rozena Erbes and my home is Fife, WA. I am a registered nurse and I continue to work for Group Health Cooperative in Tacoma, Washington when I am in the states on furlough. I came to Uganda for my first mission trip in 2002 with a team from my home church, New Horizon Christian Center in Fife, Washington. I immediately felt the call to return and I did in 2003 for 3 weeks, and in February of 2004 I moved to Uganda to serve with World Outreach Ministry Foundation full-time.
The first years I was in Uganda my focus was medical work on outreaches and prison ministry. In 2007 we launched Hannah's House Ministry in Masaka. The goal of Hannah’s House Ministry is to provide a safe place and care for women and girls with crisis pregnancies. To do our best so they can deliver safely and return to their homes with their babies. We also want to provide supportive care for women with advanced AIDS that have no one able to care for them. We want to do everything we can to get them back on their feet and home to their families. Sometimes we simply provide loving, compassionate hospice care when the families cannot.
At the same time I have the pleasure of over-seeing the mission house in Masaka. I help provide hospitality to guests that come stay at the mission house in Masaka for ministry to the surrounding schools, prisons, churches, and villages.
