WOMF has been actively working in South Sudan for over 2 decades. Unfortunately, the newest country in the world has experienced incredible heartbreak and tragedy throughout the years. With political turmoil, rebel activity, poverty, and a serious refugee crisis; South Sudan is in full-blown humanitarian emergency.
Currently all of our South Sudanese staff and their families reside in Northern Uganda in refugee camps. At the moment, rough estimates claim the refugee numbers are close to almost half a million residents. Even in a hopeless situation, our staff (along with generous partners) started a church and a school in the Bidi Bidi camp. Continue to join us in prayer as we wait patiently for peace to return to South Sudan so our families and thousands elsewhere can safely return home.
The Pearl of Africa, Uganda, has been the birthplace of WOMF and is our foundation ministry. With moderate stability, Uganda has come a long way since the days of Idi Amin. Uganda Christian Outreach Ministries (UCOM) is the home to over 280 churches, 20+ schools, a Bible College, a Prison Ministry, and so much more.
Led by our National Director, Robert Kasozi, UCOM is training and equipping world changers all over Africa. We have plenty of ways for you to serve the people of Uganda. In fact, we have teams visiting almost every week of the year. Come and visit and serve alongside our staff. Help those in need live life to the fullest!

Ever since the genocide in 1994, the country of Rwanda has had a wonderful period of peace and stability. Landlocked and small, Rwanda is known for its beautiful hills, mountains, and lush green landscapes. With a population of around 12 million, many Rwandese families face a daily struggle for food, shelter, healthcare and education.
Our National Director of Rwanda Christian Outreach Ministries (RCOM), Pastor Gacura, has established a number of churches that are focused on caring for the community. A graduate from our Yesu Akwagala Bible College, Gacura has also helped RCOM focus on the physically disabled communities in Rwanda as well. We are thankful for what God is doing in the nation of Rwanda.

Burundi is one of the newest countries WOMF has partnered with. One of the smallest countries in Africa, Burundi has experienced significant political turmoil since 2015. This instability has caused substantial unrest and safety issues. In fact, it has been estimated that over 300,000 people have become refugees due to this crisis.
In the midst of this crisis, exists a thriving ministry under the leadership of our National Director, Ezechiel Nivyayo. Burundi Christian Outreach Ministry (BCOM) has been actively pursuing transformation in the communities it serves. Whether its through clean water solutions, church planting, or starting a healthy school; lives are being impacted by this incredible ministry. Will you join us? Bordering both Somalia and Uganda, Kenya is known for its vast savannahs and equatorial mountains. Home of the Masai Mara region, Kenya has experienced general political peace over the last few years. Even with the challenges of unemployment, child labor, HIV/AIDS epidemic, and a struggling education system; has seen improvements in many areas compared to other Sub-Saharan African countries.
Led by our National Director, Kenanda Jackson, our goal with Kenya Christian Outreach Ministries (KCOM), is to see God’s restorative love carried throughout the communities we serve. We have a number of churches thriving in Kenya, and we are excited for more projects to develop under the leadership of our staff in this wonderful country.

It is estimated that over 4 million people have been displaced due to unrest and violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It has costs hundreds of thousands their livelihoods and their lives. With its increasing human rights violations, the DRC has seen widespread atrocities committed primarily amongst women and children.
Even with all the surmounting challenges exists a small ministry led by our National Director, Gotina Kaniki. Another former Yesu Akwagala Bible College graduate, Kaniki is committed to seeing the love of Christ shared with those in need and are hurting. Keep Congo Christian Outreach Ministry (CCOM) in your prayers as we see the hope of Jesus spread throughout this beautiful country.

Ghana is the only country we work in that isn’t in the Eastern Great Lakes Region. Located on the Western part of Africa, Ghana has had a stable democracy since 1992. Although, it faces significant health and poverty challenges.
When he is not preaching the word of God in church, you will find our Country Director, Shei Dawuni, working around the clock in the community. A true testimony of our Yesu Akwagala Bible College, Shei has been helping Ghana Christian Outreach Ministry (GCOM) grow at an incredible speed. Whether its by planting a new church, starting an agriculture program, or launching a school; GCOM is making a difference in the lives of those being served.
