World Outreach Ministry Foundation Uganda
In Uganda today there are increasing cases of baby-abandonment, they are left in places such as hospitals, or left on verandahs, or in swamps, etc.; World Outreach Ministry Foundation seeks to rescue such babies. Bethany House currently operates with Brian and Shelly Bandelman, American Missionaries, as the directors. Rachel Damulira manages the house and staff, Caregivers Annette and Rose live in the home making sure everyone is fed, changed, and happy! They love the children and take care of them, bringing them up in the midst of God’s Love and God’s Word. Bethany Baby House provides a loving, nurturing, safe, Christ centered home for abandoned and orphaned infants and children from birth through age four.
The children will stay at the House until they are four years old. We strive to place them with Ugandan families interested in adopting and loving them. If they are not adopted by age four they will go to our orphan home at Kyamulibwa; they will attend school and live there.
Bethany Baby House is FULL, full of love, laughter, tears, and babies. We have filled our home with 9 babies and reached the limit of our budget to provide care to our little ones. If you are interested in supporting our babies it costs approximately $250/month to feed, clothe, and care for each child. Our biggest needs at this time are boys clothing 9-12 months and formula, purchasing formula in Uganda is very expensive. Can you help feed and clothe a little one? Send your tax deductible donation today.
Meet the babies and children of Bethany Baby House: Setti and Rebecca joined us when their mother became unable to care for them due to end stage AIDS. Rebecca is 9 months old and only weighs 12lbs, but she is happy and well. Setti, our four year old, is learning English rapidly. Hope and her sister Sanyu lived in a police station for a month following their mother’s mental breakdown. They were so excited to get a real home. Sanyu loves to help take care of the babies and will always invite you to come back and visit! Enoch is our newest. His father asked us to care for him temporarily while he deals with the grief of his wife’s sudden and unexpected death. Johnny was deserted by his mother, and the lady he was left with could not feed him. He came to us very malnourished and ill, but has flourished with formula and love. He will greet you with a wide eyed stare and quick smile. Matthew was born to a teen age mom who has no way of caring for him. He is our first baby to be brought to us from our own Hannah’s House Ministry, and he loves to “talk” with his eyebrows. Jacob has been with us since November. He was deserted at the hospital and is the first baby to join Bethany Baby House after it moved to Seguku. He is curious about everyone and everything around him. Michael is our youngest baby, just over a month old. He is our second baby to come from Hannah’s House Ministry.
