What
a great summer! Shirley and I do trust you and your family has had the
best summer yet and is back on the job ready to tear the devils kingdom
down!We are so excited about the marvelous way in which our God
answers prayer and still allows us to grow even in the midst of very
difficult financial times. It would be wrong though to not share
that although every thing we touch continues to grow yet we are faced
with the economics of a difficult time in America which seems to be
filtering down to us.

What
a great summer! Shirley and I do trust you and your family has had the
best summer yet and is back on the job ready to tear the devils kingdom
down!
We are so excited about the marvelous way in which our God
answers prayer and still allows us to grow even in the midst of very
difficult financial times.
It would be wrong though to not share
that although every thing we touch continues to grow yet we are faced
with the economics of a difficult time in America which seems to be
filtering down to us.
I must say we are very grateful to all of
you! Some can back us with intercessory prayer while others are able to
also add some funds to their prayers.
Perhaps you would like us to
give some direction to what we are looking to accomplish for the
Kingdom of God in the immediate future. And may I say we are so thankful to you for caring enough to share your wealth even though times are a challenge for us all.
Some of Our Immediate Challenges:
1]
When the horrible riots broke out in Kenya following the election last
January terrible things happened; I know you know some of what happened
but did you know we had our land taken away from us too?
The
political fall out was a nightmare as innocent people such as our top
leader, Pastor Joel and wife Judy together with children, were forced
off of our land!
Today we have almost finished
paying for another piece of land for our school, pastor’s home and
church but the work to move our buildings is so hard for our team as
well as they are out of the funds we sent to them. We need help! Do you
care? I think you do and I almost beg you to help us with this pressing
need. We must be moved off our land by the end of October. Please hear
my heart and help us. I must confess to you in the 21 years Shirley and
I have been in Africa this is the closest I have been to begging. If it
was for me I would not beg; but it is for my dear and faithful brother
and family. For them it is no home next month unless I can get the
funds to him to both move and also carry all of the building materials
from the old house with him.
An enormous job but Pastor Joel will do it; he just needs some funds.
You and I can help him a lot for only $1000.00!
2)
We are also faced with a serious decline in funds as a result of the
troubles in America. We feel it now as never before. We are looking to
God to carry us up and out of the growing financial hole we find
ourselves in. Where do we need the most help aside from the Kenyan
Crisis?
Please understand the greatest need for this time is to bolster our Operational Fund.
It
is the fund which keeps us on the mission field while paying for all
operational costs. Without that fund we are stopped. And from what I
have learned from you our partners you do not want us to be stopped.
Any amount God prompts in to your heart will be so appreciated by us.
And
now some great news! On the 10th of October we fly from here in Uganda
to Bangladesh where we will meet up with the balance of our team and
will head for the Hills of Bangladesh!
There we
are scheduled to do a great Mobile Medical Clinic with Dr. Helen Laib ,
founder of Circle of Life, a ministry which reaches the darkest places
on earth with loving medical care for those who live in ignorance of
our lord. Combine that with my own doctor, Dr. Brad Schmitz from
Tacoma, WA and our crusade team and we will also do the only crusade
ever in this area of darkness. For some days we will be in the
mountains touching these people who are steeped in darkness still
offering animal sacrifices for appeasing their Gods.
All
we ask you to do is to pray for us from the 10th of October till the
19th for our safety as we carry out this mandate in the heart of a
stronghold of the Muslim faith.
For God to give
us the spiritual authority to tear down the enemies kingdom and build
up His kingdom and reach these people from the dark ages. They are
truly an unreached segment of earth’s society.
Thank you all for your prayers; we will need it I guarantee.
For
the many of you whom God is now talking to about a gift to help us with
the needs I have laid out before you please feel free to mail a check
today to our usual address at:

If you live in Washington state we excitedly invite you to join us for
our annual Finger Food and Dessert Banquet held again this year at the
church called New Horizon located in Fife, WA just about a ¾ mile off
of I-5.
It is held on the first Monday of November [this year that is the 3rd of November] at about 6: pm.
Please
call my office in Tacoma and talk to our daughter Cindy who runs the
USA side of this mission; she will give you good directions. Or of you
are already on our mailing list receiving a newsletter from us now and
then you will receive an invitation in the mail!
So come and bring your friends and let’s celebrate Missions together on this very prized time!
Hugs to you all.
