Introducing High 5 for Africa 

WOMF has been involved with Africa for over 20 years.  This year we have launched a fund raising website that introduces churches and individuals to an easy way to impact Africa.

It is not much these days that $5 can buy you.  In an every changing world it is hard to find things that will impact the world.  Think what you can do today for $5.  What can you buy for $5 in your town?

What is High 5 for Africa?

Now let us see what that same $5 can do in Africa.

For $5 we can:

• Treat 150 kids for intestinal parasites
  • Intestinal Parasites are a common ailments for children in Africa
  • Parasites cause a child’s body to not receive the nutrients they need
  • Parasites cause children to become lethargic
  • In severe cases can cause death
• Treat 3 people for Malaria
  • Malaria is a preventable and curable disease
  • Malaria kills more third world children than any other disease
• Put a child in school for a week
  • Childen can go to school in their village but lack the funds to do so
• Give someone clean water for a week
  • Clean water is like gold in most African countries
  • Most water found is unclean
• Give garden seed to someone to grow their own food
  • Most Africans need to grow their own food to survive
• Buy a child a new pair of shoes
• Give food to family of 4 to feed them for a week
  • This is giving local types of food to a family
• Care for a widow and her needs for a week
• Care for an orphan for 5 days
• Buy an outfit for a child

And the list goes on.

What can you do?

We are asking people to partner with us in the basic needs of those in Africa.

As an individual:
This is great for an individual wanting to help make a change in Africa. The biggest impact is in a weekly or monthly commitment.  As an individual you can commit the cost of a fancy latte or basically a gallon of gasoline each week to impact the world.

As a Church:
This is great for a church who wants to touch the nations in a simple and easy way.  The biggest impact is in a weekly or monthly commitment.  As a church you can easily ask your church to commit $5 each month per person to impact the world.

Our commitment

We commit to ensure that the funds raised will be put to work to impact Africa and to reach people for Christ.

For the month July we are focusing our High 5 donations to Sudan.
